About Tait

I turn policy, platforms, and people into services that work.
Preparation
From the federal government to Fortune 50 tech companies, I have a history of following through for my users. And I’ve worn many different design and research hats, in everything from scrappy two-person teams to billion dollar contracts.
Process
Research. Prototype. Iterate. Products people love come from deep empathy. And even on a small budget, a user-centered process produces better results. Yes, methods change—not every job needs participatory design workshops—but the results for users are the true test of whatever process you used.
Passion
Good causes deserve good design. I spend a lot of my time off working with communities, law enforcement, and local and national government agencies. I’m particularly interested in the interplay between civic technology and government services.
